MIAMI, FL – In an effort to promote the advancement of women in the commercial real estate industry, CREW Miami (Commercial Real Estate Women) announces it will again launch CREW Careers: Building Opportunities. The mentoring program, sponsored by CREW Foundation, is designed to teach young women about the fundamentals of commercial real estate while helping them explore careers within the field. CREW‐Miami has hosted CREW Careers at different locations since its inception in 2005.
This year, CREW‐Miami will partner with North Miami Beach Senior High School’s female‐only student organization, Girls Educated and Motivated for Success (GEMS). More than a dozen CREW‐Miami members, specializing in professions ranging from real estate law to environmental engineering, will teach weekly after‐school sessions to the group of 35 girls beginning this month and lasting through March 25th.
“The goal of CREW Careers is to inspire young women to take charge of their future and how to capitalize on the many opportunities that abound for women in the commercial real estate sector,” said Danet Linares, CREW‐Miami President.“
Linares also noted that the CREW Network is uniquely positioned to play an integral role in educating young women by tapping into its membership base of professionals who all have a shared commitment to increase the number of women that enter the industry.
