Celebrating a record-setting year for CREW-Miami, the Miami chapter of the leading commercial real estate association Commercial Real Estate Women, recognized at its annual awards luncheon business and real estate professionals who have made a significant impact on South Florida’s real estate industry and civic community.
Under the leadership of CREW-Miami President Margaret Nee, Vice President of Development for Pointe Group Advisors, membership over the past year has grown by 20% to almost 200 members, four scholarships were awarded to local female college students pursuing careers in the real estate industry, and over $40,000 was raised for CREW-Miami’s scholarship fund and education initiatives.
The board has also added two new membership categories that go into effect this year: Young Professionals/Associate, which allows a limited number of real estate professionals with fewer than two years’ experience, to join and student memberships, which allows a limited number of real estate students, with the endorsement of a professor, to become members at a reduced membership cost.
CREW-Miami’s 2013 award recipients for outstanding leadership and excellence in real estate are:
Deal: $43.8 Million Sale of The Atrium office property in Coral Gables and the $18.2 Million Sale of Distribution Center at NW 33rd Street and NW 91st Avenue in Doral
Deal: Vendor services Valued for office building at 355 Alhambra Circle in Coral Gables
“As an organization, we have reached significant milestones over the past year, including double-digit membership growth and raising significant funds for our educational programs. We could not have achieved this success without the contributions of our members and leadership,” said Margaret Nee, who served as president of CREW-Miami over 2013. “Congratulations to all the members recognized for their achievements in the past year. With the national CREW Network Convention headed to Miami in September 2014, we look forward to another record-setting year.”
